Jillian has Child and Youth Work diploma as well as a BA in Psychology. Jillian worked on the front lines of Social Services agencies from 2003 - 2012. Jillian has taken numerous continuing education courses and has attended various workshops focused on supporting neurodiverse children, in particular children with ADHD. In addition to ADHD Coaching and Child Advocacy, Jillian also works as an Inclusion Support Worker in a Winnipeg school, supporting neurodiverse students.
Neurodiversity is something to be celebrated and not "fixed". It is important to appreciate the strengths that come with a differently wired brain. It is also important to acknowledge and the struggles that come with being different from neurotypical people.
Jillian will help you and your child develop strategies for managing the challenges that come along with being neurodiverse using a child-centred and compassionate approach. Jillian can also help you advocate for your child with their school and work collaboratively with other service providers and agencies.
